Fugitive Arrest/Laurel County

LONDON, Ky. - On 08-28-2007 at 10:39 AM the Kentucky State Police Post 11, London received a report of a suspicious vehicle on Rook’s Branch in southern Laurel County.



 KSP Troopers Richie Baxter and Barry Blair were responding to the complaint when US Forest Service Special Agent Bob O’Neill spotted the vehicle.  A check of the vehicle registration indicated the vehicle was stolen from Missouri and SA O’Neill attempted to stop it. The driver refused to stop and a vehicle pursuit began. Trooper Richie Baxter charged William T. Hill, 40, originally from Tipton, MO with Receiving Stolen Property (Auto), Receiving Stolen Property (Firearms), Fleeing or Evading Police 1ST, Fugitive from another State and Possession of a firearm by a convicted Felon. Hill is lodged in the Laurel County Detention Center. Trooper Baxter who continues the investigation was assisted by Trooper Barry Blair and SA Bob O’Neill.
